Field Autonomy Engineer

The Field Autonomy Engineer (FAE) will partner with a sales manager to drive design wins with major robotics OEMs.  This role will engage in both high level and very detailed technical discussions with CTOs and engineering executives during the early phases of the OEM sales cycle.  In later phases, the FAE will organize and drive technical demonstrations, proofs-of-concepts, and pilots.  In the final phases, the FAE will lead deeper technical integration discussions and help define and capture customer-specific requirements and feature requests that can be effectively communicated back to the development team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in delivering and exposing R-Go Robotics’ offering to the robotic market, working with various types of customers and robotic systems,

  • Collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and product managers to develop solutions that meet customer requirements,

  • Prepare and present technical elements of sales proposals and presentations,

  • Lead all aspects of technical discussions with customers,

  • Develop software specific applications and demos for customers,

  • Analyze customer requirements and ensure products meet customer requirements,

  • Follow up on post sale issues and ensure that relevant company functions respond to customer needs,

  • Participate in trade shows, regional seminars, and other marketing events as required,

  • Collaborate with product and marketing team to identify new customer requirements and potential new offerings.

Minimum qualifications:


  • MS degree or higher in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related field with a focus on robotics,

  • Strong systems engineering and robotics / embedded systems programming background,

  • 2+ years of professional or research experience with C/C++, Python, ROS, and Linux,

  • Sensor fusion systems including systems that fuse GNSS, Inertial, and vision-based input streams,

  • Strong computer vision background with experience in areas such as: SLAM, Extended Kalman Filters, sensor fusion of LiDAR, IMU, Visual, Odometry, and OpenCV,
